PLACENTAL SITE TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR, that is called TROPHOBLASTIC pseudoTUMOR, is a persistent proliferation of trophoblasts in the PLACENTAL implantation sit. In research of literature 100 cases of this disease was reported.Clinical signs of this TUMOR differ from other TROPHOBLASTIC diseases. Thus, the diagnosis of this TUMOR has been very late. This case is a trophblastic PLACENTAL SITE TUMOR in a 30-year old with secondary ammenorrhea and previous molar pregnancy in late years. Clinical study and laboratory evaluation was detected in PLACENTAL TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR. With chemotherapy treatment and hysterectomy, it was cured.

Background & Objectives: Placenta SITE TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR is a very rare variant of gestational TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR. It could both occur after normal termination of pregnancy or spontaneous abortion and ectopic or molar pregnancy. There is a wide range of clinical manifestation from a benign condition to an aggressive disease with fatal outcome.Case: We present a case of (PSTT) and discuss the differential diagnosis in order to further familiarity of physicians in diagnosis and treatment of this disease.Conclusion: It has a varied clinical spectrum and usually present with irregular vaginal bleeding or amenorrhea. Diagnosis is confirmed by dilatation and curettage (D and C) and hysterectomy. Because chemotherapy is not effective, surgery is the cornerstone of treatment. PLACENTAL SITE TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR ((PSTT)) is the rare variant of gestational TROPHOBLASTIC diseases (GTD), which differs histologically and immunologically from GTD. Diagnosis of (PSTT) is often difficult and delayed. In most cases, diagnosis is not possible until the surgery is performed. The most therapeutic choice is hysterectomy and it is usually successful. Here we report two cases of (PSTT).

Here, a rare presentation of (PSTT) is reported.Case Report: A 24-years old woman, P1L1 with history of vaginal delivery one year ago and abnormal vaginal bleeding from 6 months ago had referred. Pelvic sonography reported a fibroma sized 29×45 mm as a myoma in the uterus. Due to abnormal vaginal bleeding which was refractory to medical therapy, myomectomy was done. The pathologic diagnosis was leiomyosarcoma. Then, the patient was referred to Ghaem Hospital TUMOR Clinic. The diagnosis of the second pathology review of the same specimen was PLACENTAL SITE TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR. Serum hCG level was 119 milliunit in milliliter. The patient had no desire to preserve fertility, so hysterectomy was done. One week after surgery, hCG level was normal and now after 8 months, the patient is disease free.Conclusion: PLACENTAL SITE TROPHOBLASTIC TUMOR is a rare TUMOR which should be suspected in a patient who presents with term pregnancy and abnormal vaginal bleeding and a myoma in sonography.
